On Tuesday 5 February 2013, Publicis Groupe announced the merger of Digitas with the digital agency network LBi to form DigitasLBi. Whilst on a global level this presents many exciting opportunities, here at Kitcatt Nohr Digitas and DNA there are no planned changes and we are operating business as usual. We expect no disruption to the services we provide our clients. We will simply be part of a bigger network, which has more resources and greater reach around the world, called DigitasLBi.
The Global CEO of DigitasLBi will be Luke Taylor (current CEO of LBi) based in London.
The business reasons for this merger are simple:
· Digitas already has offices in UK, France and India and is particularly strong in the United States. LBi is strong in Europe, 2000 strong in fact. Together, under DigitasLBi, we quickly have a robust global network, with combined, stronger presence in Asia-Pacific.
· From a capability perspective, Digitas and LBi complement each other. Digitas develops big ideas, anchored in CRM, Analytics and Performance Marketing. LBi leads in technology and service innovation. Combined DigitasLBi will be the leading, most complete digital agency network.
· We now have a global network infrastructure to help serve and attract global assignments. And a broader, diverse talent network with 2000 more people that we now call colleagues. Read the full Publicis Groupe press release here.
